Vadio is a small family producer founded in 2005 by winemaker Luis Patrao and partner Eduarda Dias. It is located in Poutena village in Bairrada region. Baga is a native red grape from the region. Baga produces age-worthy, lightly tinted, juicy red fruits and fresh wine. Their viticulture management is purely organic. The grapes are treated with Atlantic climate and grown under clay and limestone soils. They have two vineyards named Rexarte which is a 100% Baga single plot and Barrio which grows Baga and other indigenous white varieties. Vadio aims to reflect the true potential of Bairrada.
