Bohigas is a grower-producer Cava as we call it since they make wines only from their own vines and estate bottled. Fermi Bohigas has been growing and making family wines since the 13th century in Penedes. The family tradition has always been producing textured and high quality Cava. It is run and managed by Jordi Casanovas and her daughter and winemaker Maria Casanovas. They work with indigenous varieties of the region like Xarel-lo, Macabeo, Parellada and Trepat which are all cultivated from their certified organic vineyards. Maria's wines are pristine, elegant, mineral focus with laser like acidity.
