Glenelly is located on the southern slopes of Simonsberg Mountain in Stellenbosch, South Africa. The estate is owned and run by May-Eliane de Lencquesaing who originally was from Bordeaux and was the former owner of Chateau Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande for 30 years. In 2007, all wines produced were estate grown and at the same year, brought in Winemaker Luke O’Cuinneagain who had stints in Screaming Eagle and Chateau Angelus. Her family settled in the Philippines in the 17th century. She sails forth this time to a new adventure in South Africa to craft the finest wines with power, elegance and balance. A homecoming return for May as we welcome her South African wines with a French touch.
